Spartans Overcome Bulldog Surge

– Everman, TX

Tuesday night at Everman High School, the Spartans of Centennial High School come out victorious with a 68-51 win on the road. The Spartans with the win move their overall record to 23-5 and stand in 1st place of District 5-5A with a 7-1 record.

In a game that saw several runs by both programs, it was an early 10-0 run in the 3rd Quarter that gave control of the game to the Spartans. This tightly contested ball game saw 3 players all foul out, 1 from the Spartans and 2 from the Bulldogs. The late 3rd Quarter foul trouble allowed for the Spartans to take advantage of getting themselves to the free throw line where the team shot 28/35 from the stripe.

The Spartans move on to face the Pirates of Granbury on Friday night, January 31st at 8:00p. This night will be the Kerr Middle School Night, in which the Boys and Girls basketball programs of Kerr Middle School will be honored and recognized.
