Boys Freshman Basketball A, Boys Junior Varsity Basketball · Sub-Varsity Boys Basketball Teams Split with Granbury

The Centennial Spartans sub-varsity basketball squads hosted Granbury Friday afternoon in their district home openers.

The 9A team battled hard the entire game, but a 3rd quarter in which they failed to score a point ultimately proved too much to overcome.  The Spartans dropped their second district game to Granbury by a score of 47-43.  Bailey Sosebee lead Centennial in scoring with 11 points while Brayden Elrod and Cedric Cotton each tossed in 8 points.

The 9A team will return to action at the Kennedale Holiday Tournament on December 27-29th.

The Spartan JV team blitzed the Pirates of Granbury in the district home opener with a score of 86-24.  The hot outside shooting and pressure defense of the Spartans proved too much for the Pirates throughout the game.  Centennial took an early lead that was to never be relinquished.

Preston Tabor lead Centennial in scoring with 25 points while Marek Kerr pitched in 11 points and for the Spartans.  Alex Quintanilla also recorded 6 points for Centennial with two big three pointers in the 3rd quarter.

The Spartan JV team will return to action in the Kennedale Holiday Tournament on December 27-29th.
