  • A walk-off double propelled Spartan Softball to a decisive, dramatic victory over Boyd, 3-1. The game was tied at one with Spartan Softball batting in the bottom of the seventh when Reagan Ellison doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs.
  • The pitching was strong on both sides. Spartan Softball pitchers struck out two, while Kinsey Kackley sat down ten.
  • Spartan Softball opened up scoring in the second inning. Madison Thurman grounded out, scoring one run.
  • In the top of the fourth inning, Boyd tied things up at one when Reagan Sommers singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
  • Serena Bersuch earned the victory on the pitcher’s mound for Spartan Softball. She went three innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out two and walking one.
  • Kackley took the loss for Boyd. She surrendered three runs on five hits over six and a third innings, striking out ten.
  • Mackenzie Law started the game for Spartan Softball. She went four innings, allowing one run on six hits.
  • Karter Hill led Spartan Softball with two hits in four at bats.
  • Boyd was sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Kayla Minst made the most plays with 11.
