Girls Junior Varsity Softball, Girls Varsity Softball · Softball are Bi-District Champions!!

On a beautiful Thursday afternoon, the Spartan Softball team took the field at home against Western Hills to start the 2016 Playoff Season.

Centennial SPARTANS Varsity jumped out to an early lead on Western Hills and captured a 10-0 victory on Thursday at CENTENNIAL.

With five runs in the first three innings, Centennial SPARTANS Varsity left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

Marley Eller had two extra-base hits for Centennial SPARTANS Varsity. She doubled in the second inning, tripled in the third inning, and singled in the fourth inning just a homerun short of a cycle!

Hayley Murrell got the win for Centennial SPARTANS Varsity thanks to eight strikeouts. Centennial SPARTANS Varsity’s pitcher tossed four innings of shutout ball and allowed only four hits. Crystal Peebles came in to close it out with a strong showing in the 5th to clinch the run rule win.

Centennial SPARTANS Varsity’s Gracie Morton, Freeman, Reagan Ellison and Eller combined for nine hits and six RBIs..

Centennial SPARTANS Varsity added three more runs in the bottom of the third. Bailey White‘s single got things going, bringing home Morton. That was followed up by Eller’s triple, plating Kelly Fisher.

Centennial SPARTANS Varsity built upon its lead with four runs in the fourth. A triple by Morton ignited the offense,, plating Freeman and Sydney Friend. That was followed up by Ellison’s single, bringing home Eva Scott.
